User Interface for HDR Tone Mapping System
Jedlička, Jan ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Čadík, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to improve graphical user interface of Tone Mapping Studio(TMS) program. This program is being developed on the Faculty of Information Technology(FIT), Brno University of Technology (BUT) by doc. Ing. Martin Čadík, PhD. The current program is using framework Qt3 , which is old and not compatible with modern libraries. This program has to be rewritten to support current version Qt5. I will analyze other programs in the area of working with High Dynamic Range (HDR) images and video. Changes for improving the interface will be proposed and UX tests will be done. Second part will consist of comparing plug-ins for converting images to grayscale that already exists in TMS.
Acquisition and Processing of Digital Images with High Dynamic Range
Mrázek, Zdeněk ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
The target of this thesis is sumarize the theory of metods used for composition image sequence into single high dynamic range image. Selected methods and algorithms are described in theoretical part and implemented in practical part of this thesis. It was used C++ language with using OpenCV library.
Color-to-Grayscale Conversions
Pospíšil, Petr ; Brejcha, Jan (referee) ; Čadík, Martin (advisor)
Grayscale pictures were never replaced by color ones and will probably never be, because they are indispensable in many areas. In this thesis was chosen three methods for color-to-gray conversion. These methods was implemented afterwards. Within this thesis was also made test set of 24 HDR pictures, which was together with existing set of 24 LDR pictures used to test and evaluate features of implemented methods. These methods were also compared from the point of accurancy and preference using questionnaire.
HDR Tone-Mapping Acceleration on Xilinx Zynq Platform
Nosko, Svetozár ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Musil, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the High-level synthesis (HLS). The first part deals with theoretical details and methods that are used in HLS tools. This is followed by a description of the synthesis tool Vivado HLS which will be used for implementation of an application. In the second part is briefly introduced high dynamic range images (HDR) and tone mapping. The third part is dedicated to design and implementation of the aplication which implements tone mapping methods in HDR images. This methods are implemented in Vivado HLS and language C++. This application is based on platform Xilinx Zynq and it uses multiexposure camera for capturing HDR images. Images are transmitted to FPGA for tone mapping processing.
HDR image processing tool
Kocich, Petr ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
First part describe terms HDR, image processing and some basic terms of photography. There is describe requirements for corect capture high dynamic range scene through the use of colection of photos with same scene but with diferent exposure value. Next thing is describnig principles for connect these photos to one photo with high dynamic range. Tone mapping methods describes compression of high dynamic range to dynamic range of standard screens. Some commercial program for HDR making is describe here. Main algoritmus show possibility how display high dynamic range scene through the use of kernel of usefull areas.
Methods of Increasing the Dynamic Dange of Image
Sailer, Zbyněk ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Koutný, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with dynamic range of digital cameras sensors problem and methods for solving this problem. There are described the existing methods of high dynamic range image creation, the techniques of obtaining the input data and a new method of creation of HDR image - so-called direct generation.
Potential usage of geothermal energy in the Czech Republic
Bombík, Zdeněk ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with geothermal energy problems and its potential of possible utilization in the Czech Republic. In this work, the description of technologies for utilizing geothermal energy of higher, middle and lower temperatures, is presented. The thesis also includes the description of methods for direct and cogenerative development of electrical power. At the end of this thesis, the first realized project of geothermal equipment in the Czech Republic, situated in Litoměřice, is clarified. The work is also concerned about the analysis of its area and geothermal energy utilizing potential
Discomfort glare of non-uniform luminaires
Šťastný, Jakub ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
In the field of lighting technology, glare evaluation is one of the basic parameters of determining the quality of lighting systems. Disturbing glare is most often evaluated by UGR in internal systems. The UGR method is well described and verified for uniform glare sources. With the development of LED, non-uniform sources of glare become involved in the lighting system. Thus verification of UGR suitability for non-uniform sources is necessary and possibly modification of the method or replacement it by another more appropriate method is required. This diploma thesis focuses on evaluation methods of disturbing glare from luminaires with non-uniform radiation surface. For this purpose, the thesis includes glare analysis, methods of glare calculation and glare evaluation. Furthermore, the UGR analysis and modification for the calculation of disturbing glare from non-uniform glare sources are included. The practical part is concentrated on measurement of glare from uniform and non-uniform glare sources. For the purpose of evaluating the suitability of the measurement method, the subjective evaluation of glare from a statically significant sample is included in the thesis.
Merging of Different Exposured Photographs, HDR
Šmida, Vladimír ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Seeman, Michal (advisor)
High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) is an emerging field in image postprocessing with non-trivial relations to many different areas, such as image synthesis, computer vision, video and image processing, digital photography, special effects among others. This bachelor's thesis deals with the usage of HDRI in digital photography. Conventional digital cameras are not able to record the full tonal range of the scene. Therefore, if we want to capture a high dynamic range scene, by setting the exposure time we have to choose only a small range of tones which will be well depicted. The rest of the photograph will loose important detail. The method presented and implemented in the scope of this thesis enables us to create HDR picture with realistic values of tones out of several differently exposured photographs.
Simulation of LED retrofits under operational conditions
Tomeš, Martin ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This Master’s Thesis on Simulation of LED retrofits under operational conditions is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part in the introductory section deals with the concepts of lighting technology and presents some electric light sources, such as classic bulbs, halogen bulbs, linear and compact fluorescent lamps. It also describes the principle of electroluminescent light sources (LED), which discusses principles of yielding a white light, the main advantages of LED etc. The reader is familiar with the issue of compensation the linear fluorescent lamps tubular LED source and with the work environment programme ReluxPro that is used for design of the lighting system. Practical part of the thesis is divided into two chapters. In the first chapter, measured linear fluorescent lamps and LED modules for the light-technical parameters, luminous intensity, radiation spectrum and settling time of light sources are evaluated and compared. The second chapter is solved by using ReluxPro, which explores the impact on the lighting and the brightness of the room layout SA 5.10 while using various light sources. In conclusion, there is an economic aspect of linear fluorescent lamps and LED modules analyzed. Results from the program ReluxPro are continuously compared with real measured values.
